United Kingdom of Football was born just after England beat Croatia 4-2 in Lisbon during Euro 2004. After a celebratory drink or ten in Barrio Alto, downtown Lisbon a group of England fans were bemoaning how hard it was to find Tshirts that showed you were English or British AND also a fan of your local team (or not so local if you support Man Utd!). What was on the market was low quality tat that was probably massed produced in downtown Djibouti by a young man who would soon be on Arsene Wenger's radar!

We decided that mixing a local team with the pattern of the Union Jack would hit the mark. As the night wore on we embarked on both qualitative and quantitative market research ... OK we drunkenly as asked dozens of England fans if they'd wear such a Tshirt. The overwhelming response was "YES"

In 2006 we launched UKoF at the Paraguay game in Frankfurt, once again the feedback was really positive.

Whilst in Frankfurt many people told us that what they really wanted was a value for money way to put their own slogans and designs on quality Tshirts and other products for themselves, family and friends. They wanted ways to escalate the banter at places of work/study and down the local boozer. For example when Birmingham City beat Villa 3-0 after they returned to the premiership what self respecting Bluenose would not have liked to have walked into work wearing wearing this...
